pseydtonne: Behold the Operator, speaking into a 1930s headset with its large mouthpiece. (bright-blessings)
I finally set up a Linux server that is quieter than the desk fan near it. Pimp!

I'm not certain I need anything this powerful to be a server, but it's a good test. Check out the specs:
  • AMD Athlon 2900 Barton core (2.0 GHz on 200 MHz DDR FSB) with 512 kB L2 cache
  • 1 GB Corsair RAM
  • uhh, other stuff I'm only using because the motherboard I'm using, while it's now considered old-school with its socket 462, has SATA built in but requires more of a video card than I've ever needed.
I'd go on, but right now I'm simply happy not to hear it.

Then again, I need to pass out.

Oh and yes, I now have a girlfriend. Yay!
