I was at a party last night with [livejournal.com profile] nfkennedy [livejournal.com profile] penghuin, [livejournal.com profile] ladytabitha and some other cool kids. We got to throwing Napoleon Dynamite lines around and someone claimed the guy that played Napoleon is dead. It reeked of bullshit to me. I was about to say "like, how Mikey from the Life commercial ate Pop Rocks and drank a Coke and then died... a decade before he did another ad." [livejournal.com profile] adaptively beat me with a better story about the non-dead Steve from Blue's Clues.

This led me to do some research. Was Dan Heder dead? According to IMDB, he's working on three films which suggests a major-league not dead. He's also 28, which means he is not as young as he looks.

Then I got to reading some of the other bios. The guy who plays Pedro must have a bored agent because there is a giant honkin' write-up about him that mentions his reps at the end. Then I clicked on Jon Gries, the guy that played Uncle Rico, who it turns out is 48.

Uncle Rico was also Lazlo Hollyfield in Real Genius. This blows my mind.

It's Jon Heder (Dan is his twin brother) and his Wikipedia entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jon_Heder) claims it's just an urban myth.

Jon Gries does some pretty good work in the TV show The Pretender.
