Sep. 16th, 2006 02:30 amI headed over to
metahacker's place this evening to play with sound equipment and audition for roles in Silicon Theater. It was fun. Then we got ice cream.
I came home to play with the kitty and chill. I watched the first four episodes of the second season of Dead Like Me. Suddenly I'm a little more pensive and I'm feeling for the characters all over again. That was a damn good show. My pimping it when people called to get cable was not enough to save it.
I got two days of Perl training at work. This is something I've been wanting for a long time. It really helped me start seeing what happens when I want to write code. I can think about coding -- it's making sense.
I have this need to get my computer environments to be certain ways. Thus I took a little time tonight to learn how to configure some startup settings in GVim for Windows. You make a vimrc file but you give it some Windows only commands. Now I only need to tell it how I like my tabs (4 spaces, not eight) and my braces (I'm not even going to tell you that because no one likes a holy war). I can get work done.
I think I need sleep. Yeah it's late but I was also crying at the end of episode four from DLM and I rarely cry.
