Now day Nineteen without a Cup of Coffee or Caffeinated Beverage comes to a close. This has been interesting. It's shown me what America looks like with uppers.

It's... well... a little less bright. Then again, an entire week without sunshine will do that.

When I moved here nearly six years ago, I had no idea what people meant about the effect of sunlight on the psyche. This is because it's eternally overcast in the Mohawk Valley. This doesn't happen here: you see clouds moving above Boston and you know the sky will fall down shortly. It may not take long, but it'll happen.

This week has been a pall of grey punctuated by traffic jams. Monday was a holiday so my drive to work took a record-low 17 minutes. Next day? 50. So I decided to take local roads instead of the expressway and... wound up late anyway because of an accident in an expensive suburb leading to a twelve-minute creep down a street with no side streets.

Today I found the Middle Path -- halfway between Winchester's town center and Woburn Square without touching either. This got me to work in about half an hour. A couple more refinements and I'll have the best surface route to work evarrrr.

But now? Bed. G'night.

Oh! And go see me do schticky voice stuff Friday 14 October aka. by the time you read this, at 8 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Somerville (89 College Ave, just three or so blocks from Davis Square). ...and I think it's ten bucks. No, I can't comp you, sorry. Proceeds go to help... uhh, somebody. It's performances of two radio dramas. The latter is "Chicken Heart", a "Lights Out!" drama from the 1930s made famous by Bill Cosby's reenactment of it. We've got the script and I've got three small roles in it. Come see... well, the lead rules. You gotta see this guy. Just come, eh?

Seems like I can't use coffee anymore. Even a little caffiene makes me jittery and distracted, rather than attentive or focused or what-have-you. Not that I've stopped trying. :/

What time is the Schticky Voice Stuff?

As it said above, 8 p.m. tonight. I will boldface it in the original so that you can notice it more distinctly. I hope to see you there.

Would the other drama be suitable for a 13-year-old?

Yeah, I'd say so. There are no vulgar words in either drama and a lot of lumbering monsters. Kids love those. Unfortunately, I was too busy to reply to this before the show so the point is now moot.

I'll be there. Didn't know you were in that.

It'll be great to see you.
