I grabbed the drive that used to be my main computer and put it in one of my spare machines. It has Red Hat 9 on there. It had no problem detecting its new surroundings and getting fluxbox up. I turned on pine (my mail reader) and let it grab stuff. This was the same drive holding my stash of way old mail. I set up some new filters, each designed to grab some type of mail from the server and shove it in a folder on this hard drive. I got it below 3 MB because a test message from my Comcast mailbox hit the box immediately.
I've been lectured by a few folks for not wanting to demand a refund. I may debate that. However, I'm going to set up my own permanent solution at home. It'll work wonders.
It's late. I'm done. I'm picking up my cousin at Logan this afternoon and driving to NYC after that.
-sleepy and cold, Ps/d
