I'm 29 now. Should I stop counting?
Mar. 19th, 2004 01:29 amNah. I'm merely frightened of leaving the "youth" demographic next year. I shouldn't care.
Today the swallows come back to Capistrano. Somehow I am consoled by the thought that Nixon's grave in San Clemente will be shat on by these swallows on my birthday.
Today Bruce Willis is a year older. Yippee-cai-yay.
Today we can all come to a deeper understanding of the words "Last Full Day of Winter" and smile about that.
Today won't matter as much at work. It's the end of the incentive and I've already hit goal. Too many of my friends are unemployed.
Today I have to get up early, which is probably around the time most of you have already clocked into work. I will make some calls, drive to Peabody, and ransom my laptop. Too bad I won't be able to say "hey, it's my burfy so can we make that $300 in repairs a wash?" Maybe if I use my superselling voice...
Tonight I'm going out. Who else wants to come to Copperfield's near Fenway Park?

Enjoy your year and be proud of your age. Wisdom is something that comes with time, and aging is not for the pusillanimous.
