A new term for the opposite of elite
Sep. 20th, 2006 01:52 pmWhen one breaks something, it is hosed. Sometimes one doesn't want to type something as harsh as "you're hosed". This led me to think of a Leetspeak solution:
-I swear I'm also doing actual work today, Dante
hosed => h053dThis led me to another thought: that looks like a hexadecimal number.
h053d ~= 53dh == 0x053d
== (5 * 256) + (3 * 16) + 13
== (5 * 250) + (5 * 6) + 48 + 13
== 1250 + 30 + 61
== 1341
Aha! Instead of 1337 (leet), it's 1341. I like it! Anyone else?-I swear I'm also doing actual work today, Dante

-maddeningly elite, Dante
P.S.: Spell check had no problem with my version of 'onomatopoetic' but lots of problems with 'hork', 'horked' and 'vomming'.
