Much happier update
Oct. 9th, 2004 11:19 pmI wrote my last post. Then I took a call from
fangirl715 and a nap. Then my cousin Nancy called around 5 PM.
I had IM'd Maggie for the first time in weeks. She was worried about me. I was worried about myself.
Then Nancy showed up. It cheered me immediately to see her. We shot the shit, then we got dinner. We sorted out various ideas.
I've gotten very caught in my old mindset and she helped me to loosen it. She's very good for that. I'm going to make myself get out of my ruts and develop a plan for my future.
Thank you all for your concern. I'm fine. It takes someone else helping me to understand how good my situation is (I have a well-paying job, I have the majority of my sh*t together, I have friends) and then remember my skills and attributes (creativity, skill with computers and audio, experience with normal people and geeks) to remember I'm not alone. I'm also free now to work on something I may not be free to do later -- you know, go back to school a little, put my presentation and creativity skills to better use.
So yeah, I feel a lot better. Meow. Now I'm going to get back to tidying up and listening to music. Thank you all for your concern.
