We're both pretty paralyzed from having to put Nissa down today. I want to thank all of you for your thoughts.

I have been coping through America's favorite form of opium, television. I've zoned out a lot. I didn't work on much. I put together the new computer I bought (got the CPU, all for $360 and I'll be getting a rebate) but only to make sure it'd work and to burn it in. My heart wasn't in it.

I feel so close to Maggie now. We feel alone but together about it. From here, we shall build a home of love for the next generations of animals and, eventually, children.

Hey Dante-

I know I've done a little half-assed back and forth w/you over the last year, but in a world becoming scarier by the hour it has become important to me to keep in touch with people more aggressively. I have allowed too many friendships to languish. Like it or not, Dante, you are severely iconic of lots of really great things I associate with adolescence. As such I think a regular or semi-regular correspondence with you could help me begin to form a helpful triangulation between the past, present and future. Much of the vexation I have endured in life stems from a propensity to isolate myself during trying times. If I had a base of people who aren't physically in my life anymore but who nonetheless know and sorta like or respect me it would probably help keep me grounded and well-defined and in perspective. I know this is a lot to lay on a fella, but, well, there it is.

Anyway, how is stuff w/you? Job and girfriend were going well for you last time we chatted, is that still the case? I'm so sorry about your cat, man, that is just the worst thing ever.

I graduated Hunter a few weeks ago and am working in video post-production, essentially for a salary of candy and empty cardboard boxes.
