hakamadare to help out on Saturday evening when Shabbes ends. I hope my father (who is stronger than I am, at least he was when I was still in Utica) and I will be enough people to make this happen.
Meanwhile, household cleanup and organization continues. I shuffled enough stuff around the dining room last night that I was able to clean the dining room table (my normal one, not the granite beast) and unfold the futon for sleeping. My roommate then stood on the table and cinched the weird Ikea ceiling fixture higher, so we wouldn't be staring at halogen bulbs so often. This post-mod candelabra has eight tiny halogen bulbs on goose neck arms. It looks like a failed head brace for Ludovico's treatment.
Okay, back to cleaning. My parents will be arriving in an hour or so.
