Test disc recording in progress

I thought I had all the tools I needed to get good vinyl recording onto CD. Instead, I keep finding the levels suck. I can remove hum but I can't get a better input level. This means I'm not getting the full range of sound from my well-kept vinyl albums. This bums me.

Perhaps I should use my nice tape deck as a go-between -- have it crank up some levels and pass the output to the computer. I'll have to figure this out another day. It's bed time.

Yesterday I hung out with metahacker and his fiancee. This was a great way to spend the day. As I get older, I find metah and I are more in sync (even though he'll always be wiser). I get more mature as I get older, but I only show it when I'm at work.

Apologies to anotherjen and teddywolf for sleeping through your events. I suck. I should start writing these things down. I kept saying "there's something I'm supposed to be doing..." but I didn't remember until far too late.
