I couldn't take it anymore so I took a nap. I set my alarm clock for 7:15 when it was 6:30 -- a simple 45 minutes of sleep.

I woke up at 11. The alarm clock had worked and I had a deep sleep right through it. My body needed a little more than a nap.

This is frustrating, unless I go to sleep again in an hour or two and wake up at a normal time in the morning. If that happens, then my body is simply starved for sleep (which makes sense) and I'm close to recovery. Otherwise I'm starting this forced awake thing all over again.

I suspect I'm going to sleep all night. I've been too cranky for days and only sleep can fix that. I miss having control of my body's schedule but I don't think it'll just let me steal it back without a fight.

I had wanted to do something this evening but my body wasn't interested. Then again I could've been a crabby yahoo where I'd planned to go (opening night of ReaderCon) which would not have worked well. I am already feeling tired after being awake ten minutes... make that 25. I may sleep a year: I can't even perceive time correctly.

I feel like I'm growing up all over again. This is miraculously painful.
