Today all the LJ user identifiers are a person with an eye patch. This is in honor of National Talk Like a Pirate Day. Now, y'all know I'm a pirate-talkin' fool because my Arrrr! is boisterous and hearty. However, I noticed some disturbing things about this fictional holiday:

Since 99% of us type on LJ and pirate talk involves oral speech, why is there such hype for it in the official LJ world?
This is September 19th, three months after June Nineteenth. I'm starting to wonder if this is Juneteenth for honkies. "Arrr, if only we could return to our roots as having no roots and sailing the world to steal stuff." Thus the Lord gave us corporate crime.
But I still like talking like a pirate. Does this mean I'm more honky than I want to admit?
Corollary to this: is there a bell curve of honky shame? Would someone on the low end of the curve immediately be a bigot or is honky shame not the antithesis of honky pride?
If I get any further into this topic, how much more will I seem like a parent walking in one's child masturbating?

I just saw real work come into my stack so I'm going to let go of this topic.
