...I've got an update for your next ad.

Lemme explain: My parents are here. Angst ensues.

My mom wanted to go to the second-oldest bookstore in the United States. It's in Andover, the same town her hotel room is in. We find a phone number for it and called it. "What are your hours today and tomorrow?"

"Uh, well... we're only open for a couple hours. After that, that's it. We're closing up and moving it back to the house."

Let's see... the oldest book shop in the country is still Moravian Book Shop in Bethlehem, PA, open since 1745. Dartmouth Bookstore "bills itself as the oldest bookstore in America continuously owned by the same family". Too bad I can't find the third-oldest. Somebody let 'em know, eh?

Of course my mother is going. Are you kidding -- miss the chance to be part of shattered history?

Yesterday we saw Frankie Valli sing in Lawrence.I want to write a full update about this event but I need to gather all the details in my head first. It was frightening, especially the opening act. Oy!

Sounds like your mom and my mom have similar passions.

How come I'm not on your friends' list? *sniffle*
