feelin' mighty dang good, y'alls

Yesterday was good, ole-fazhunned sellin'. It felt good to rock mightily on the killing floor.

[livejournal.com profile] chaggagirl is bummed. Even the simplest jobs are saying "bachelor's degree a must" and she only has an associate's. If anyone needs a fast typist, a woman with a clear phone voice, et cetera in the Boston area, lemme or let her know.

I hold her and she feels better. This is good.

I hear the Human Shields (who had just released a split 7-inch with the Surrender Monkeys of Doom) are kinda creeped out because they'd be forced to hang out near likely targets. As much as I tend to be a tree-huggin' liberal and all that, I can't help but wanna laugh. They honestly thought they could prevent war, which is admirable. Now it turns out they won't be in control of their safety (in other words, no lounging at the Intercontinental Hotel Baghdad all day), so they are wise to absquatulate.

Okay, enough update. Munkee and I plan to bother some Perl geeks at a brew pub, so I suppose I should wash up.

Unfortunately, your girl isn't alone. I have 12 years of experience, from admin to graphic design to knowledge management, and I couldn't even get an admin assistant job around here without a bachelor's degree. The only reason I have the job I have now is because my dad got it for me. (I'd ask him to help your girl out, but, well, you know...)
