Gheeeeeeee!
Sep. 3rd, 2003 02:40 amI got some ultra-fabulous news today when I got to work. My hours have finally shifted to Monday through Friday! Two days off in a row, and the normal ones everyone else has! I can go places on weekends! Whoooooooooooo! My hours also improved by a half-hour -- noon to 8:30 pm.
This means I have to go work on Thursday. I haven't done that since July of 2002. What a strange thought -- being at work when everyone else is. Then again, this means Friday is Friday and not Thursdayish. This also means I'll be able to hear an entire episode of "Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me", the proof I listen to too much public radio.
When my boss told me the news, I said "may I hug you?" She said, "you don't have to hug me." Bummer. She looks like she'd give a decent hug. Can you say that about your boss? Bet not. Mind you, such activity is not appropriate for the workplace. So I squeezed the elasticity out of a water bottle.
Is anything happening this weekend?
-Saturdays exist! Dante
P.S.: that bookstore wasn't the second-oldest. It simply had a similar name (Andover Books and Prints, instead of Andover Books). My mom shopped successfully.
