In case I haven't said it enough...
Dec. 2nd, 2002 12:55 amI really like the band Super Furry Animals. They rock my world like little else can.
They are from Wales, and thus half of their tunes have been in Welsh (including one about having a love-hate relationship with ELO, to give you an idea where their heads are).
I missed seeing them when they cam to Boston recently, and I am still a bit peeved at myself for that.
They're today's psychedelia, or they're just pop that could still fuq y'all up, or they're digging through your medicine cabinet. Whenever you've heard a song with some jangly guitars and said "yeah, but it's not enough," you've been pining for the Furry.
Go listen to some SFA as soon as you can. "Rings Around the World" is readily available in the U.S., and I even found their first English album, "Fuzzy Logic", with only the slightest effort. Why are you still reading this? Go. Now. Store. Furry.
-oh, and my dad turned sixty on Sunday, Dante
