Testing the future of mankind

I'm writing tonight's entry using the Perl script client. Every time I've used the damn Gnome client, it crashes. Sure didn't crash before, but it's gotta crash now. I can worry about all of this later. Anyone else having these problems? I can't be the only geek using this stuff.
Oh wait, that is possible. Ah well.
This isn't quite what I'd hoped -- a line editor with no prompt for one of my hojillion text editors. I don't feel safe about typing a single period on a line by itself when I'm done. I can already see that I misspelled "about" earlier but I can't fix it until I edit after sending. Bugger all.
As you can see, I edited it. I also had to put all the carriage returns in as html because the script sent them as Unix newlines. No amount of re-entering enter would tweak that.
[Error: Irreparable invalid markup ('<p [...] right,>') in entry. Owner must fix manually. Raw contents below.]

Did you know there's a support sector to LiveJournal? It's another world, man. I'm looking to learn enough so that I can mack this thing out -- mag wheels, chrome bumper, foofoo haircut. Then I can answer some questions, score some points, and build some support-karma. Oh yeah, it's something I can get into. Codependence tango!
Right, I'm going to bed. Let's see if this is legible.
