Bigger from inflation?

I got to playing with the Inflation Calculator. I am fascinated by this device, especially how values drop between 1920 and 1940, don't change much during the Sixties, and then of course the Seventies happen.

The only strange thing about this site was that I found a link to it as one of my favorite pr0n sites. They must know their audience, eh?

Considering you found the calculator on a porn site, don't think I didn't catch the obvious fallic reference in the title of this journal entry.

I thought it would be some witty way to say some "my two cents".

Yet then I started to enter numbers in that damn calculator and got the following:

What cost $-348.73 in 2003 would cost $-33.79 in 1800. Also, if you were to buy exactly the same products in 1800 and 2003, they would cost you $-348.73 and $-3599.10 respectively.

The program is so damn addictive, it's not even funny...
