I caught the flu!
Mar. 23rd, 2006 07:50 pmI have just enough energy right now to post this. I'd been asleep off and on for about 20 hours and I'll likely be going back to sleep in the next few minutes. Wish me luck so that I don't hallucinate again.
I woke up Wednesday with post-nasal drip. I worked from home until noon, then took a nap. When I got up, I had chills. My temperature was 98.2F, which is normal for me. I went to work to make some phone calls. By the time I got there, functioning was getting harder and harder. Since everyone at work has caught this cold, I didn't shock anyone with my symptoms. "Go home already!" was the call around the office. So I closed a couple cases and went home.
I got into bed and began the wonderful process of hallucination. This time it was about being on a code development project: every time I turned in bed, I was looking at a different branch of the code. Oh yeah, this rocked. Toss in that my brain was looping a couple songs I don't like and I went to check the thermometer: 102.3F. Hmm... 4 Farhenheit degrees upward in a few hours, chills, and... yup. Time to experiment with sleeping.
A lot of people called me. I needed the calls because I was starting to get loopy from the isolation. I was online for a little while earlier, then I napped again. In the past 28 hours I have eaten a banana.
Ummm... I'm losing sense again. I'm off to sleep. My pans to surprise
medievalsweetie by showing up to ICon on my own funds are out. If I leave the house tomorrow at all, I'll feel brave.
