Leaving Somerville

chaggalagirl found us an apartment in Melrose, which is even closer to work yet within a half-hour's walk of the end of the Orange Line. We are supposed to move in on August First, once we get our money together.

I like this place. There are fat cable wires all over the place, hardwood floors, new bathroom fixtures, and parking spots. It's a quiet neighborhood. It's on the first floor. Its rent includes heat and hot water.

I'd been trying to move to Somerville since I got here. It's where most of my friends are. Once I got here, my schedule got shuffled and being in the middle of everything didn't matter. I think I walked into Davis Square less than I had when I lived in Woburn.

We'll have a place that's made for entertaining guests. We want people to visit. We're not sure what else will happen, but we know it'll be a fresh adventure. Maggie feels better already, although she's anxious about getting the first & last together.

I may be an agnostic, but I have faith in getting this to happen. Even if we have to scrimp a lot in the next month, we'll move. I'll miss living with fangirl715 but I know the time has arrived to start a real home with the Munkee.

Oh snap, this apartment is a mess. I have so much to shove into boxes. Good thing I'll have an entire month of moving time.
